Bookings for the RE 650 twins has started in India unofficially while the motorcycle will launch here in November

Royal Enfield will launch the new 650 twins in India this November and according to the latest reports, Royal Enfield dealers have already started taking bookings unofficially for the motorcycles. The official bookings, on the other hand, will commence after the motorcycles are finally launched here next month after RE concludes the Rider Mania event.

The event will be held during the 17th and 18th of November. Although we are not sure about the prices of the upcoming motorcycles yet it will most probably be priced around the 3 Lakh rupees mark while the booking amount will be about Rs. 5000.

Coming to the motorcycles both the Interceptor and the Continental GT 650 is powered by a newly developed parallel twin, air-cooled, SOHC engine that develops a maximum power of 47 Bhp and maximum torque of 52 Nm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox.

Both the Interceptor and the Continental GT 650 is the fastest motorcycle from RE’s stable and will easily be able to cross 160 km/h mark with ease. Although both these motorcycles get a retro styling to them but feature all the modern equipment which makes them modern motorcycles in every sense.

To begin with, both the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 gets telescopic suspension setup towards the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear, the motorcycles also get disc brakes on both front and rear wheels while ABS s available as standard. Just like we mentioned above RE will officially launch the motorcycle next month here in India while the deliveries will begin towards the end of this year.

However, few reports on the internet suggest that RE will price their motorcycle really aggressively here in India and under rupee 3 Lakh mark. If they do that then the RE Interceptor and the Continental GT 650 will be the cheapest twin cylinder motorcycle available in India.
