Upcoming Mahindra SUVs In India – XUV400 EV To Thar 5-Door

As many as 9 new Mahindra SUVs including six new electric SUVs will be launched in the country in the next few years

Mahindra is currently one of the highest-selling brands in the SUV segment in the Indian market and will soon be expanding its SUV portfolio in the country with the launch of as many as 9 new electric and ICE-powered SUVs including next-gen bolero, new XUV e8 and the Mahindra Thar 5-door.

1. Mahindra XUV400 EV SUV

To start with, the Mahindra XUV400 EV is likely to be the first new Mahindra SUV to launch in the country in 2023 and will be offered in three variants – Base, EP, and EL. It is based on the XUV300 and gets a front-axle-mounted electric motor which is powered by a 39.4 kWh battery pack. For those wondering, this electric motor delivers peak power and torque output of 150 bhp and 310 Nm respectively.

2. Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus

The next SUV to make its India debut will be the new Bolero Neo Plus. The Bolero Neo Plus will be offered in two seating layouts – 7 and 9 seats. It will be longer than the Bolero Neo and is likely to share its powertrain options with the Thar SUV. More details will soon be shared by the brand.

3. Mahindra Thar 5-Door

The New Thar 5-door will be the second ICE-powered Mahindra SUV to be launched in the country next year and will challenge the rivals like the upcoming Maruti Jimny and the Force Gurkha 5-door. It will be larger than the Thar 3-door and will be offered with similar powertrain options.

4. Mahindra Bolero Next-Gen

Mahindra also confirmed the launch of the new-gen Bolero SUV in India. This new SUV is likely to share its underpinnings with the Scorpio and Thar SUV while similar powertrain options as the Thar are likely to be offered with this new version of the Bolero.

5. Mahindra XUV e8, XUV e9, BE.05, BE 07, and BE 09

The Indian carmaker recently revealed the concept models of its five new upcoming electric SUVs that will be launched in the Indian market starting from 2024. All these electric SUVs will be based on the brand’s latest INGLO Born Electric Platform. The official specifications of the production-spec versions will be shared by the brand ahead of the official launch in the market.
