The automotive world is gearing up for a wave of exciting lifestyle vehicles that combine style, versatility, and cutting-edge features. From iconic off-roaders to game-changing electric models, these upcoming vehicles promise to redefine the way we experience the road.

With each model offering a unique blend of features and capabilities, the future of driving is about to become more dynamic and thrilling than ever before.

1. Mahindra Thar 5-door

Expanding its celebrated Thar lineup, Mahindra will be introducing a 5-door variant of the SUV in 2024. Retaining the Thar’s iconic front, this version offers LED projector headlamps and a redesigned grille with a distinctive pattern. However, it is expected to get better features compared to its 3-door version, like a larger infotainment screen and sunroof. The engine options are expected to remain unchanged – a 2.0L turbo-petrol and a 2.0L turbo-diesel – but tuned to offer more power than the 3-door Thar.

2. Mahindra Global Pik Up

Mahindra’s recently revealed Global Pik Up concept boasts bold design and advanced features. It’s based on the Scorpio-N, which is evident in the design, as we expect this pickup truck’s powertrain choices to be identical to the SUV. With LED lights, an aggressive grille, Level 2 Autonomous Driving, and a 4WD system, it’s set to conquer various terrains. As per rumours, the Global Pik Up will launch in India in 2025.

3. Force Gurkha 5-door

Force Gurkha is also set to get a 5-door version, which aims to bring more practicality to the SUV without compromising on the adventure spirit. With a refreshed front design and multiple seating options, it competes with the upcoming Thar 5-door. Under the hood, we expect to see the same 2.6L turbo-diesel engine as the 3-door Gurkha, along with a mechanically engageable 4×4 system.

4. Force Gurkha-based Pickup Truck

Force Motors has been road-testing a pickup truck on Indian roads. Featuring a dual cab design, split rear window, and sideways-opening tailgate, the vehicle seems to be based on the Gurkha SUV. Although there is no confirmation about the launch (for the general public, that is) yet, we expect it to happen next year.

5. Tata Curvv

Tata Curvv will be a truly unique vehicle for the Indian market, the first mass-market SUV coupe. Thanks to the new Impact 3.0 design language, which will also give shape to the upcoming Tata Nexon, the Curvv will surely be a head-turner. Interestingly, it will be offered with multiple powertrain options – an electric option, a turbo-petrol one, and perhaps even a diesel engine. The Curvv EV is slated to launch early next year, followed by the ICE versions later.
