Some dealers told that the discounted price on UM Renegade Sport S is valid for a limited time period only
UM Motorcycles has just slashed the price of its most affordable bike in India that goes by the name Renegade Sport S. Earlier, the motorcycle was priced in the Indian two-wheeler market at Rs. 1.69 lakh. The company has issued the new price of this motorcycle and the Renegade Sport S is now available at the dealerships at Rs. 1.59 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom, Delhi). Having said that, UM Motorcycles has dipped the price of the said bike by close to Rs. 10,000.
The UM Renegade Sport S is powered by a 279cc, single cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that comes mated to a six-speed transmission system. The fuel injected motor churns out a maximum power output of 25 bhp along with a peak torque of 23 Nm.
The braking to the UM Renegade Sport S is delivered with the help of a 280mm disc brake upfront along with a 130mm drum brake at the rear. The suspension duties are taken care of by 41mm conventional telescopic forks at the front along with twin spring shock absorbers at the rear. The motorcycle rides on 110/70-17 front and 140/90-15 rear tyres that come mounted over stylish black alloy wheels. The tyres are further tubeless that offer an instant convenience in case of a puncture.
The company has recently launched UM Renegade Classic and Renegade Mojave in India. With the new launches, UM Motorcycles now has four bikes in its line up here.
In other news, UM Motorcycles has plans to manufacture its 300cc to 700cc bikes here in India. For this purpose, the brand will be setting up a separate production facility that will have a capacity of at least 1.20 lakh units annually. UM Motorcycles will also set up a R&D facility in the state of Maharashtra or Tamil Nadu.
The company currently has a production facility in Uttarakhand and it is looking forward to achieve a sale of 25,000 to 28,000 units by the end of current fiscal. In the last 10 months, UM Motorcycles has reportedly sold over 10,000 bikes in India.
