TVS Ntorq Drum Variant Launched In India At Rs. 58,525, Delivery Begins

The new entry-level variant of TVS Ntorq 125 cc scooter comes with 130 mm drum at both ends and it is priced at Rs. 58,525

TVS has officially launched the drum variant of Ntorq in India at Rs. 58,525 (Ex-Showroom). The drum variant is priced lesser by Rs. 1,648 over the disc model. Apart from the introduction of drum brake at the front, the company hasn’t made any other changes for the scooter as it is one of the best selling models in its segment.

The new model comes with 130 mm drum at the front and rear with the combo-braking system as part of the standard equipment while the top-spec variant gets 230 mm disc at the front. The Ntorq was introduced in February 2018 and the scooter became an instant hit in the country thanks to its sporty design theme.

The Ntorq also gets smartXonnect connected technology in which the smartphone can be connected to the scooter via Bluetooth and it comes with lots of features like navigation assist, incoming call alert, miss call alert, auto-reply to messages, phone signal and battery strength, last parked location assist and more.

The instrument cluster of Ntorq is fully digital and it is loaded with lots of information like lap times, 0-60 acceleration time, three trip meters and more. The company has also given ECO and Power modes, which is also available in most of the other TVS scooter models as ECO mode will improve efficiency.

The Ntorq is powered by 124.79 cc single cylinder air-cooled engine producing 9.4 PS of power at 7,500 rpm and 10.5 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. This engine is mated to an automatic gearbox and the ARAI claimed mileage of Ntorq is 47 kmpl. The scooter comes with 12-inch alloy wheels at both ends with 100/80 section tyre at the front and 110/80 section tyre at the rear.

TVS is offering the Ntorq in 6 colour options – Matte Yellow, Matte White, Matte Red, Metallic Blue, Metallic Grey and Metallic Red. The kerb weight of Ntorq is 116 kg and the wheelbase is 1,285 mm. The Ntorq compete against Suzuki Access 125, Honda Grazia, Hero Destini 125 and Suzuki Burgman Street 125.
