TVS Motor Company has today announced the launch of the Ntorq 125 Race XP in the domestic market and is priced at Rs. 83,275 (Ex-showroom, New Delhi) with a tri-colour shade. The Ntorq 125 is already a highly popular 125 cc scooter in India and received Super Squad special colour schemes quite a while ago.

Further expanding the range, the Hosur-based manufacturer has announced the Ntorq 125 Race XP, equipped with the latest iteration of the SmartXonnect connectivity platform, ride modes and a revised powertrain. The Ntorq 125 becomes the first scooter to get a voice assist feature covering connectivity functions such as mode change, navigation, console brightness adjustment and DnD (totally 15 different voice commands).

Courtesy of the renewed powertrain with enhanced power delivery due to improvements made to gas flow dynamics and combustion, the TVS Ntorq 125 Race XP produces higher power output. The scooter is also lighter to aid better performance and rideability as TVS said advanced engineering polymers, high strength steel and alloy steel are used.

The updated TVS Connect App enables refreshed UI & UX and boasts of a ride mode-based live dashboard while the revised bike overview section comes with the addition of a graphical representation of performance parameters and the navigation function gets save address function to navigate to regular routes.

As for the performance, the TVS Ntorq 125 Race XP features the revised 124.8 cc single-cylinder fuel-injected engine producing a maximum power output of 10.2 PS at 7,000 rpm and 10.8 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm (as opposed to 9.38 PS and 10.5 Nm). It also gets two ride modes: Race and Street accessed through the flick of a switch.

The Race mode allows for ‘accentuated performance of the scooter on highways’ with a top speed of 98 kmph while the Street mode is for city commuting and traffic riding and it helps in increasing mileage. The TVS Ntorq 125 Race XP gets a new race-inspired body colour and graphics theme (red, white and black) along with contrast red-painted alloy wheels.
