The new matte silver colour option will be available only with the disc brake variant of the TVS Ntorq
TVS Motors introduces a new Matte Silver colour option for their popular 125cc scooter offering Ntorq to celebrate the achievement of becoming the most awarded scooter in India for FY 2018-19. Additionally, the scooter will now also sport a new ‘Scooter of the Year’ emblem on all its variants.
The TVS Ntorq is available with a total of seven colour options now including Matte Yellow, Matte White, Matte Red, Metallic Blue, Metallic Grey and Metallic Red besides the newly added Matte Silver colour option. The TVS Ntorq received tremendous response from the people since it was launched here in February 2018. The Ntorq has crossed the two lakh sales milestone in less than a year.
The TVS Ntorq is powered by a 124.79 cc air-cooled, single-cylinder, 3-valve, OHC engine. This unit paired with a CVT gearbox produces about 9.4 PS of peak power at 7,500 rpm and 10.5 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The Ntorq relies on a telescopic suspension setup towards the front and gas-filled hydraulic type coil spring shock absorber at the rear.
TVS offers a drum as well as a disc brake variant of the scooter in India. The drum brake variant is equipped with 130mm drum units on both ends and retails for Rs 58,252 while the disc brake variant gets a 220mm disc at the front and is priced at Rs 59,900 (ex-showroom). Both the variants get CBS as standard.
The Ntorq also features an advanced TVS SmartXonnect technology that uses Bluetooth connectivity to pair with a Smartphone via the ‘TVS NTORQ’ SmartXonnect App. Once the Smartphone is connected to the system, it displays some additional information including incoming call alert and even text messages.
The system even has an auto-reply option as well that let the caller know when the scooter is on the move. Besides these features it even gets a navigation assist, phone signal strength, last parked location assist and ride stats. The instrument cluster also gets an in-built lap timer and power/eco mode, etc.
