TVS Jupiter MillionR edition launched in India with 10 new features
TVS Motors has silently launched the best-selling Jupiter scooter with a new variant. The major addition to the new version is the disc brake and it will be priced on-road at Rs. 53,034. The disc brake feature will be accompanied by new colour scheme and styling add-ons.
The TVS dealers have started receiving pre-orders but the buyers will have to pay the entire amount in order for the bookings to be accepted. The 220 mm front disc brake unit is the same found on the TVS Wego. The additional accessories provided in the new Jupiter are chrome side guard and centre stand among several other features. These extra bits will cost the customers Rs. 3,000 more; summing them all up the on-road price stands at Rs. 53,034.
The outer body panels are painted in royal wine colour while on the inside a light beige adorns the panels. The added flair is only offered in the “MillionR Edition”. It brings another speculation come true that the new disc brake variant will only be sold as a limited edition model.
The disc brake equipped Jupiter has been made available in a new dual tone purple and beige colour scheme and it could stay as the only colour at the launch. The new variant gets styling upgrades like chrome accent on the side panels to make it stand out from the regular scooter. The other key features are Million Edition keyring, beige floor mat, mobile charger, dual tone seat, etc.
With the styling changes, TVS doesn’t seem to be convinced with any mechanical modifications. Therefore, the disc brake variant will continue to be powered by the 109.7 cc single-cylinder petrol engine which is capable of producing a maximum power output of 8 bhp at 7,500 rpm and peak torque of 8 Nm delivered at 5,500 rpm.
