TVS Motor Company introduced the new Jupiter Classic Edition variant in the Indian market for a price of Rs. 55,266 (ex showroom, New Delhi) back in August. It is available to buy across all TVS dealerships in the country right away. The Classic Edition is equipped with additional features and topping them off is a new colour scheme.

In order to differentiate it from the standard Jupiter, that retailed over 1.5 million units, the exterior comprises of a full chrome set of mirrors in round shape. All the mechanical components and fundamentals stick by the regular variant of the popular Jupiter with same suspension setup and similar displacing powertrain.

It is connected to a CVT transmission sending power to the wheel.

Also present are the two modes – Eco and Power – courtesy of the Econometer. The Eco Mode is responsible for returning more fuel efficiency from the engine while the Power Mode works to better the throttle inputs and make the riding engaging and sporty. According to TVS, the Classic Edition continues the theme of “Zyada Ka Fayda”.

The Jupiter Classic Edition offers added value through the pillion back rest and stylish tall windshield. Other highlighting features are dual-tone seat, USB charger, Sunlit Ivory body colour and Classic Edition decals.

Amidst competing against the Honda Activa, Hero Maestro, and the Yamaha Fascino, the TVS Jupiter Classic Edition could attract the customers wanting to own a Vespa but deems it too expensive. Braking is done by a new 220 mm disc up front like the Yamaha Ray-ZR and 130 mm drum at the rear. Riding on 90/90 R12 tubeless tyres, it has ground clearance of 150 mm and 1,275 mm wheelbase.
