Toyota Innova Crysta has been launched earlier this month with lot of anticipation and expectation. Within 10 days of launch the car has garnered more than 15000 bookings, and 60% of the booking has been registered for the 2.8 litre automatic variant of Innova Crysta.
The new generation Innova dubbed as Innova Crysta was showcased at the 2016 New Delhi Auto Expo earlier this year in February. Since then the car has garnered interest from the customer and the critics. Compare to the old model of Innova, the new generation model looks sleek and stylish. It bears more premium feel inside out. The car sports a large front grille with chrome embellished horizontal bars at the upper part of joining both the sleek and wrap around headlamp clusters.
The headlamp clusters feature automatic projector units and LED daytime running lights. The lower front fascia features unusual looking fog lamps at both sides. The side profile comes featuring large wheel arches housing alloy wheels. The side profile sports sleek creases. At the rear profile the integrated roof spoiler and boomerang shaped taillights are attractive and make the car sporty looking.
The interior has been designed to deliver a premium and upmarket vibe. The multifunction steering wheel, dual analog dial and a TFT display consisting instrument cluster, sleek centre console housing a touchscreen infotainment system, wooden trim at the dashboard, storage compartments at various places, roof mounted LED ambient lighting, captain seats with separate bottle holders and foldable tables at the middle row are all the things Toyota added to the interior to make the car premium.
The new Toyota Innova Crysta is available with two different GD engines. The 2.4 litre engine is mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox and churns out 150 PS of peak power and 343 Nm of torque. The larger engine is a 2.8 litre GD series engine which is paired with 6 speed automatic gearbox and produces 174 PS of peak power and 360 Nm of peak torque. Toyota Innova Crysta is priced between Rs. 13.83 lakh to Rs. 20.78 lakh.
