The Baleno facelift model comes with a new grille, redesigned front bumper with new fog lamp inserts, new design for alloy wheels and an updated interior
Maruti Suzuki is going to launch the Baleno facelift model on January 28 and the company has officially opened the bookings. Ahead of the market debut, the top-end variant of the Baleno facelift has been spotted at a dealership yard. The exterior changes start with new front grille with 3D graphic design along with a redesigned front bumper and new fog lamp inserts.
Finally, Maruti has given a new design for the alloy wheels. The rear gets a new bumper along with tweaked LED tail lamps. Maruti Suzuki will offer the Baleno facelift in four trim levels – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. The interior gets new black and blue colour along with an updated touchscreen infotainment system with new graphics and voice commands.
But it will be available only on the top two variants. The connectivity options include Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, USB and Aux-in. The Baleno facelift model also supports the Suzuki Remote Application debuted with Wagon R, which can be used to control various function of the infotainment system.
The entry-level model Sigma comes with more standard safety features like Rear Parking Sensors, Speed Alert System and Co-Driver Seat Belt Reminder along with dual airbags and ABS. The Delta model gets new features like a new audio system with electrostatic touch buttons, electronically controlled exterior mirrors and LED projector headlamps with light guide.
The top end Alpha model comes with features like climate control, rear camera, automatic headlamps, puddle lamps, leather-wrapped steering wheel with controls for the audio and phone, UV cut glass, keyless entry, push-button start, height adjustable driver seat, telescopic steering wheel, chrome door handles, illuminated glove box and more.
The engine options will continue to be the same as it is powered by a 1.2 L petrol engine with 83 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 115 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The 1.3 L diesel engine produces 74 bhp of power at 4,000 rpm and 190 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. These engines will be mated to manual gearbox as standard and CVT with the petrol engine. We can expect Maruti to increase price and the Baleno will continue to sell through premium Nexa dealerships.
