Top 10 selling scooters in April 2019 chart witnessed recent launches like TVS Ntorq and Hero Destini 125 making a huge impact

The fourth month of 2019 saw Honda Activa continuing to be on top of the scooter standings as 2,10,961 units were sold but the brand endured a huge setback in overall sales of nearly 32 per cent as the significant contributing Activa suffered 38 per cent YoY sales fall.

It is no secret that the monthly sales volume of Activa will heavily impact the cumulative numbers of Honda and the de-growth in recent months for the scooter took the toll as expected. TVS Jupiter maintained its second position from Suzuki Access ever since regaining the position from Suzuki Access back in February 2019.

With 54,948 units, the Jupiter faced a negligible 3 per cent negative growth in April 2019 to finish ahead of the best-selling 125 cc scooter in India, the Access. The Jupiter played an integral part in TVS maintaining third place among manufacturers with the growth of 2.8 per cent when Hero MotoCorp and Honda recorded 16.2 and 31.9 per cent sales declines last month.
