The top 10 two-wheelers registered 13,28,231 units last month as volumes were up 8.41 per cent from 12,25,232 units in the same month last year. The Hero Splendor led the rankings at 3,53,842 units and secured a 26.64 per cent share. The Honda Activa took second place at 2,55,815 units as the two best-selling models accounted for 45.90 per cent of the total.
The Splendor registered the biggest volume increase among the first four models as the entry-level commuter’s sales rose by 42,144 units from 3,11,698 units in August 2025. The Activa gained 11,544 units and posted a YoY growth of 4.73 per cent. The Shine ranked third at 1,80,626 units after a 10.16 per cent increase and the Jupiter secured fourth place at 1,47,450 units after sales rose 3.54 per cent.
The Bajaj Pulsar occupied fifth position at 97,839 units as volumes fell 10.55 per cent from 1,09,382 units. The drop amounted to 11,543 units. The HF Deluxe also recorded a decline as sales fell 22.25 per cent to 69,794 units from 89,762 units. The Hero commuter posted the steepest percentage drop among the 10 entries.

The Suzuki Access finished only 236 units behind the HF Deluxe as the scooter registered 69,558 units in seventh place. The 125 cc scooter grew 14.39 per cent from 60,807 units a year earlier. The TVS Apache series ranked eighth at 55,123 units as volumes climbed 22.39 per cent from 45,038 units with a notable gain of 10,085 units.
The Bajaj Chetak delivered the highest percentage increase in the table as sales rose massively by 272.83 per cent to 52,248 units. The electric scooter gained 38,234 units over its August 2025 total of 14,014 units and secured ninth position as it finished as the most sold electric scooter in the country. The TVS XL100 completed the ranking at 45,936 units after a 4.67 per cent increase from 43,886 units.

The top four models registered 9,37,733 units between them and accounted for 70.60 per cent of the top 10 volume. The Splendor led the Activa by 98,027 units and the gap from Jupiter in fourth to Pulsar in fifth stood at 49,611 units. The Pulsar was also the only model among the first five to record a YoY decline.
