This custom Tata Hexa glossy red metallic wrap can take the fight to Toyota Innova Crysta Touring Sport red colour at any time of the day
IDE AutoWorks based in Gurgaon has come up with a new glossy wrap for Tata Hexa and it has been named the Hexa Rossa. The customised crossover gets a 3M 1080 G203 Gloss Red Metallic Wrap and it looks absolutely stunning. For this project, the design firm has used the XT variant of the Hexa and except for the wrap, the front fascia adorns black finished panels surrounding the grille instead of chrome.
The underbody protecting skid plate covering the large central air dam has also been done up in black. Besides the smoked out headlamps, the black wheel arch cladding and lower door cladding further enhances the exterior of the wrapped Hexa. Tata sells the Hexa in different colour choices such as Arizona Blue, Pearl White, Platinum Silver, Tungsten Silver, Sky Grey, Arizona Blue and Pearl White.
But, the custom wrap does indicate what has been missing as the addition of stock red colour or any contrast colour for that matter would have further elevated the aggressive stance of the crossover. The pillars are pained in black and IDE AutoWorks has managed to keep the same 19-inch multi-spoke machined alloy wheels intact in the red metallic glossy wrap.
The homegrown auto major retailed the standard Hexa top-spec XT with a price starting from Rs. 17.32 lakh (ex-showroom, Kolkata). The Hexa derives power from a 2.2-litre four-cylinder VARICOR 400 diesel engine, which is good enough to pump out 156 PS at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of maximum torque delivered between 1,700 and 2,700 rpm.
It is connected to a six-speed synchromesh manual or an optional six-speed automatic gearbox with an electronically controlled adaptive all-wheel-drive system with torque-on-demand feature from Borg Warner. The Hexa comes with safety equipment like six airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution), ESP (Electronic Stability Program), Traction Control, brake assist, hill assist and descent control and is praised for its sturdy build quality.
Some of the key features in the Hexa are instrument panel with multi-info colour display, a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, reverse parking camera with guidelines, voice recognition, navigation, dual-tone interior finish, LED illumination for ambient mood lighting, leather upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel, auto-dimming and so on.
