Tata Model Wise Sales March 2024 – Nexon, Punch, Safari, Tiago

Tata Motors sold a total of 50,105 units in the month of March 2024; Punch stood at the top spot followed by the Nexon

Tata Motors has been quite proactive in launching new products in the Indian market and it is one of the key reasons behind its soaring sales figures. March 2024 is no different and the Indian carmaker finished the month by selling 50,105 units, thereby acquiring the third spot in the domestic sales.

This is a big jump from the previous year’s figures of 44,047 units, registering a YOY growth of 14 per cent. The MOM analysis reveals a 2% decline as the company sold 51,270 units in March 2024.

Talking about the model-wise sales, the Punch continues to be the Indian carmaker’s top performer with 17,547 units in the bag, registering a staggering 61 per cent YOY growth. The popular compact SUV Nexon’s sales bar stood at 14,058 units, a 5 per cent decline from the previous year. Similarly, Nexon also lost by 2 per cent in the MOM comparison.

Trailing behind these high-volume pullers are the Tiago and Altroz with 6,381 and 5,985 units, respectively. The entry-level hatchback Tiago registered a YOY sales decline of 13 per cent while the Altroz saw an upward trajectory with 55 per cent YOY growth. Tata’s flagship SUVs, the Harrier and Safari’s performed decently last month in contrast.

The Safari posted a sales number of 2,063 units while the Harrier’s figures stood at 2,054 units. The former registered a 9 per cent YOY growth while the latter’s YOY sales saw a 20 per cent decline. Last but not least, the Tigor sedan sold 2,017 units in March 2024 and the YOY graph plummeted with a 13 per cent decline.

To conclude, the Punch and Altorz are the top gainers in YOY analysis while the Tigor’s sales declined the most. Every model except Altroz and Tigor experienced a MOM decline in March 2024. Tata is planning to introduce the Curvv in its ICE and EV guises next in India while the Harrier EV, Nexon CNG and Altroz Racer will also launch along the course of this calendar year.
