1. Exterior styling inspired by the H5X concept

As promised by Tata Motors, Head of Design, Mr. Pratap Bose, the Harrier takes 85 percent of its styling inspiration from the H5X concept. The sleek looking LED daytime running lamps on the top, the headlamps positioned just above the front bumper is something which you have never actually seen before in a Tata car.

Just like the front profile the rear profile too features sharp LED taillamps which looks to have been inspired from petals and are conjoined by a Black Blacked out strip which looks equally well.  The SUV is based on the company’s Impact  Design 2.0 philosophy and it not only looks big but stylish and sharp as well from every angle.

Although the 2.0 Liter unit produces around 170 bhp on the Jeep Compass but this unit has been de-tuned to generate 140 Bhp of peak power on the Harrier.

The engine is termed ‘Kryotec’, by Tata Motors which has been inspired by the reliable cryogenic rocket engine. The engine will be paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox, while it will also get an automatic transmission as well later.
