Tastefully Modified Toyota Glanza On Display At 2023 Auto Expo

Customised Toyota Glanza

The modified Toyota Glanza features exterior upgrades almost mimicking a GR upgrade with red and black treatment all over the front fascia

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) currently has the Glanza as its most affordable offering in the domestic market. The rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno received a big update early last year with an assortment of changes inside and out. At the 2023 Auto Expo, the Japanese manufacturer has showcased the Land Cruiser 300 and bZ4X electric SUV concept.

They are accompanied by a customised version of the Glanza. The premium hatchback has gained exterior changes almost mimicking a GR upgrade. The modified hatch gains a two-tone exterior shade and compared to the standard model, it does look more purposeful and aggressive.

The front fascia gets a carbon matte finish to the horizontal trim connecting the sleek headlamps and above which a thin line of red finish can be seen. The bumper section gets red highlights on the edges and the lower portion. The visual enhancements go hand-in-hand with the already good-looking hatchback and they supplement the prominent black U-shaped element and the hexagonal black grille mesh.

Over to the sides, the modified Toyota Glanza adorns red highlighted all-black wing mirrors. The subtle red and black graphics on the lower side of the front doors add to the drama and is complemented by the black finished alloy wheels with contrast red brake callipers at the front. Other highlights are a dark chrome finish to the door handles and blackened pillars and roof.

At the back, the exterior customisation continues with a faux diffuser kit outlined in red colour and a new spoiler. The cabin also features its share of minor red treatment on the steering wheel, dashboard and door panels. It does not appear to have any mechanical changes though as the 1.2-litre K12N DualJet Dual VVT petrol engine stays put.

It is good enough to generate a maximum power output of 90 PS and 113 Nm of peak torque and is paired with a five-speed manual transmission or a five-speed AMT. The standard Glanza is packed with features on the inside.
