Suzuki Teases Gixxer 250 Ahead of 20th May Launch

Suzuki released a new teaser of upcoming full faired Gixxer 250 and it will be launched in India on May 20 to rival KTM RC200, Honda CBR250R

Suzuki officially released a new teaser of Gixxer 250 ahead of the launch on May 20 and the tagline of the performance bike is Dawn of Darkness. The brochure of Gixxer 250 has been already leaked earlier this month and it revealed most of the details of the motorcycle.

The design theme of Gixxer 250 is completely different from its 150 siblings as the company has given new fairing. The headlamp is expected to be a single piece unit and the light will be LED like most of the modern bikes. The Gixxer 250 gets a black visor and the rear mirrors are placed on the front panel.

The fuel tank design took some inspirations from the Gixxer 150 SF and the new model come with split seat set up in which the pillion seat is positioned slightly taller. The performance bike comes with clip-on handlebar and it is positioned slightly lower with rear set foot pegs gives a sporty riding position.

The instrument cluster of Gixxer 250 is likely to be fully digital and it might get a different design compared to the 150 cc model as it is loaded with lots information like gear position indicator, odometer, speedometer, trip meter, time and more. The Gixxer 250 get LED tail lamp and a new fender at the rear.

The suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and mono-suspension at the rear, it is expected to be tuned for support. The company has given 17-inch wheels with 110/70 section tyre at the front and 150/60 section tyre at the rear. The Gixxer 250 gets disc brakes at front and rear.

Suzuki has given dual-channel ABS braking system as standard. The Gixxer 250 is powered by 249 cc single cylinder, oil-cooled engine producing 26.5 PS of power at 9,000 rpm and 22.6 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and it is expected to be priced at Rs. 1.8 lakh (Ex-Showroom).
