Not a single unit of Suzuki Lets retailed last month, likely discontinued due to the poor sales
Suzuki Lets is one of the scooters, which is not doing well for the company in India as other scooters are selling well. The company is likely going to discontinue Lets soon as they sold 0 units last month as against 980 units in the same month last year. The Japanese manufacturer might be focusing on other models.
Since the beginning of this year, sales of Lets is not consistent as the company managed to sell more than 1000 units only once in 2018. In October 2018, Suzuki sold just 8 units only and till November, the company has sold 5755 units but the Burgman Street 125, which was launched earlier this year has already sold more than 40,000 units till now.
Suzuki Lets is powered by 112 cc single cylinder BSIV engine producing 8.5 bhp of power at 7,500 rpm and 9 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The claimed mileage of Lets is 64 kmpl and the scooter comes with 5.2 litres fuel tank. The Lets tip the scale at just 98 kgs and it is also one of the reasons for its peppy performance along with efficiency. Currently, the Lets is available with three colour options – Orange/Matte Black, Glass Sparkle Black and Royal Blue/Matte Black.
Suzuki has given telescopic forks at the front and Swing arm type suspension at the rear. One of the USP of Lets is its plush ride quality. The braking duties are done by 120 mm drum brake at front and rear as the company is not offering disc brakes even as an option also the scooter doesn’t get combi-braking system also.
The Lets come with 10-inch spoke wheels with 90/100 section tyre at front and rear. The scooter measures 1,805 mm length, 655 mm width and 1120 mm in height. The ground clearance of Lets is 160 mm and the seat height is 765 mm. Suzuki Lets compete against TVS Scooty Zest 110 and Honda Activa-i.
