Suzuki introduced a brand new premium scooter at the 2018 New Delhi Auto Expo in February. The scooter named Burgman Street belongs to the Burgman premium maxi-scooter range of the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer.
What’s more interesting is, Suzuki Burgman Street is the first maxi-scooter retailed in India since the Kinetic Blaze that was introduced several years ago. Suzuki Burgman is the company’s flagship scooter range and in global market, the brand sells 125 cc, 200 cc, 250 cc, 400 cc and 600 cc engine powered versions. Speaking about the India-spec model, the Burgman Street receives a 124.3 cc engine that works in Suzuki Access 125.

Also, there could be an all-new 150 cc engine as well waiting in the pipeline. In the Indian market, scooter segment has seen rapid growth in recent years. At times, scooter sales have surpassed the retail number of the motorcycles as well.
While the 110 cc models sell the maximum numbers, 125 cc models too are garnering good response from buyers. The maxi-scooter from Suzuki adorns a fully digital instrument cluster and striking all-LED taillight. The powerful LED headlamps are positioned at the front cowl rendering the scooter a more of a motorcycle like appearance.
The Suzuki Burgman Street features a very unique styling which gives it a strong road presence. It also comprises of a tall windshield ensuring comfortable riding experience for the rider. Make no mistake as the Aprilia SR 150 is a sporty scooter but in a different way, the Suzuki Burgman Street is a maxi-scooter. Other important features onboard are multi-function key slot, generous underseat storage capacity, 12V charging socket and USB port among others.
The alloy wheels are wrapped with tubeless tyres. For braking duty, it comes equipped with front disc brake and a drum unit at rear while CBS is also offered as in the Access 125 as standard fitment. Suspension duty is done by telescopic front forks and hydraulic type rear.
