Four new Jeep models and three Citroen products planned as Stellantis prepares five upgrades under new plan

Stellantis has announced an investment of Rs. 4,000 crore in India as part of a new 2030 programme which includes 12 product launches across Jeep and Citroen over the next three years. The roadmap comprises seven all-new vehicles and five upgrades. Furthermore, the company’s Brand House 2030 presentation identifies the seven new vehicle categories planned for India. The first product is scheduled for introduction in the second quarter of 2027.

Jeep will account for five launches comprising four all-new vehicles and one upgrade. The new products include a B-segment SUV, C-segment SUV, D-segment SUV and D-segment pickup truck. The B-SUV will extend Jeep’s participation into a smaller vehicle category and the C-SUV will add another product to its local portfolio. Meanwhile, the D-SUV and pickup will target larger vehicle categories.

Citroen will introduce seven products – three all-new vehicles and four upgrades. The new models are an A-segment passenger car, C-segment SUV and D-segment MPV. The smaller car will expand Citroen’s entry-level portfolio while the D-segment MPV will introduce a new body style to its domestic range.

The additional Rs. 4,000 crore investment will increase Stellantis’ cumulative expenditure in India from over Rs. 11,000 crore to around Rs. 15,000 crore by 2030. The company operates three manufacturing facilities at Ranjangaon in Maharashtra and Thiruvallur and Hosur in Tamil Nadu. Moreover, Stellantis has engineering and software development operations in Bengaluru and an information and communications technology facility in Hyderabad.

The new product portfolio will incorporate conventional internal combustion engines, hybrid systems, plug-in hybrid powertrains and BEV tech. Stellantis intends to select suitable propulsion systems based on individual vehicle categories, affordability, regulations and infrastructure readiness. The approach will provide Jeep and Citroen with multiple powertrain options across different segments. Furthermore, the company plans to support these products through additional domestic sourcing and engineering capabilities.

Notably, nearly 95 per cent of the engines and gearboxes manufactured at its Hosur facility are shipped overseas. India-developed vehicles are also planned for international markets under the group’s Asia-Pacific operations. The additional investment will support manufacturing capacity, local product development and supplier operations.

Stellantis India’s business recorded 35 per cent growth in the second quarter of 2026 compared with the preceding quarter. Citroen also registered a 68 per cent year-on-year increase in retail sales during the same period. Meanwhile, the company plans to expand its combined Jeep and Citroen sales and service network across Tier-2, Tier-3 and Tier-4 markets. The Stellantis Brand House format will support dealership expansion alongside improvements in spare parts availability and aftersales services.
