Citroen AircrossX, BasaltX New Variants Launched; e-C3X Extended Gets 330 Km Range

Citroen AircrossX and BasaltX have gained new turbo and naturally aspirated variants and the e-C3X Extended received a 330 km certified range

Citroen India has consolidated the AircrossX and BasaltX lineups with new variants and introduced the e-C3X Extended with a 330 km MIDC-I/II certified range. The new additions have gone on sale nationwide from today. The AircrossX You Turbo Comfort Edition costs Rs. 10.69 lakh and the BasaltX You Turbo carries an introductory price of Rs. 9.99 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom).

The electric e-C3X Extended starts at Rs. 6.99 lakh under the BaaS programme. The AircrossX You Turbo Comfort Edition gets the turbocharged petrol engine and Citroen has also added the Max NA at Rs. 11.62 lakh (ex-showroom) as it combines the naturally aspirated petrol engine with the equipment offered on the Max trim.

The NA version can also be ordered with CNG as it has extended the number of powertrain choices within the AircrossX portfolio. The BasaltX has received a similar revision as the You Turbo costs Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) with the inclusion of the turbocharged engine at a lower point in the lineup of BasaltX.

The Max NA sits at Rs. 11.34 lakh (ex-showroom) and brings the top-end equipment package with the naturally aspirated engine. Citroen also offers the Max NA with either petrol or CNG. The e-C3X Extended is the other notable addition to Citroen’s latest round of updates. Its certified driving range increases to 330 km under the MIDC-I/II cycle after efficiency-related revisions to the electric hatchback.

Citroen has priced it from Rs. 6.99 lakh under its Battery-as-a-Service scheme with the battery component charged at Rs. 2.26 per km. The French auto major has also introduced a step-up finance plan for the AircrossX and BasaltX during the festive period. EMI for the BasaltX starts at Rs. 9,999 during the first year and the corresponding figure for the AircrossX starts at Rs. 10,555.

The scheme runs for a maximum tenure of seven years and assumes an approximate 20 per cent down payment. Final eligibility depends on the lending partner and applicable credit conditions. The new variants increase the number of combinations available across Citroen’s ICE portfolio. Kumar Priyesh, Business Head & Director, Automotive Brands, Stellantis India, said,
