Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will make its global debut on November 7 and it derives power from a 451.65 cc liquid-cooled engine

Royal Enfield will host the global premiere of the new generation Himalayan 450 on November 7, 2023 at the EICMA show in Milan, Italy and our detailed ride review will be posted on our website and YouTube channel three days later, so stay tuned! The dual-purpose adventure tourer derives power from a 452 cc single-cylinder DOHC liquid-cooled four-valve fuel-injected engine.

It produces a maximum power output of 40.02 PS at 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm of peak torque delivered at 5,500 rpm. The idle rpm stands at 1,300 rpm and the motorcycle features a semi-dry sump and wet multi-plate clutch. The powertrain is linked with a six-speed transmission with a slip and assist clutch as standard.

It also boasts a 42 mm throttle body and a ride-by-wire throttle system. The new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 sits on a steel, twin-spar tubular frame and is suspended on 43 mm upside-down front forks with 200 mm travel and the link-type monoshock rear suspension also has a wheel travel of 200 mm. As for the dimensions, the RE Himalayan 450 measures a length of 2,245 mm, a width of 852 mm and a height of 1,316 mm with a wheelbase length of 1,510 mm and a seat height of 825 mm which can be increased to 845 mm in the standard seat while the low seat can be adjusted from 805 mm to 825 mm based on your preference.

It has a dry weight of 181 kg and the kerb weight stands at 196 kg. The payload capacity is rated at 198 kg and the fuel tank can hold 17 litres. The 2024 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 runs on a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheel with 90/90-21 and 148/80-17 tyre sections respectively. As for braking, a dual-channel ABS system is offered as standard.

The 320 mm ventilated front disc with dual-piston calliper and 270 mm ventilated rear disc with single-piston calliper are employed. Other highlights are all LED lighting, a tall windscreen, a circular four-inch TFT instrument console, two ride modes, switchable ABS, a wide handlebar, a USB charging port and much more.
