Renault Trezor Sports Coupe Concept marks the beginning of a new design language for the brand’s future line-up; 0-100 kmph claimed in under 4 seconds

Renault unveiled the Trezor Sports Coupe Concept at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show after showcasing it in Paris the previous October. The French auto manufacturer claims, this concept marks the beginning of a whole new design language for its future models and since its 2018 Auto Expo presence will be electric themed, the Trezor could be showcased next month at Greater Noida. The Trezor is an ambitious project, which gives us the preview of what the French automaker can produce in future.

It will likely be accompanied by Zoe EV and the brand’s 2017 Formula One car. The Trezor Sports Coupe Concept seems to be heavily mimicking the concept cars from Mercedes Benz, as it features striking similarity with the German automaker’s concept like Gran Turismo Vision and Maybach 6. However, the concept looks absolutely stunning, and as per Renault’s claim the future models from the company are going be much more exciting if they take design cues from this concept.

The Renault Trezor features a hi-tech carbon fibre chassis, underpinning the bodywork. It features a sleek silhouette; which incorporates sleek LED headlamps, muscular tone all around the body, large wheels. It gets plenty of tiny little hexagons on the cars body, which change form as they flow into the Trezor’s curves. The car also features a full-width light bar at rear, and a rear windscreen. Also the rear diffuser gives it an aggressive look.

An interesting fact is that, the concept gets a fighter jet like large single-piece canopy; so no more doors there. Dimensionally, Renault Trezor Sports Coupe Concept is 4,700mm long, 2,100mm wide and the height is a little over 1,080mm.

The interior of the car is elegant indeed, with its stylish design language. The futuristic interior features plenty of premium wood elements. Also, the car’s instrument cluster is a wide OLED screen, which extends quite a bit. It definitely looks futuristic, and reminds us again, that this emphasizes on autonomous driving. The entire interior is painted in red, and as there is no A pillar, the windshield flows uninterruptedly.

The letter Z in the name TreZor refers to the car’s all-electric Z.E powertrain. It runs on an electric powertrain, which generates 350 bhp of peak power with 380 Nm torque, and it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in less than 4-seconds. As Renault is the Europe’s bestselling electric vehicle manufacturer and it also has expertise in Formula E race series, expect the Trezor to use these experiences.
