Renault Trezor Concept is an advanced take on how the brand’s performance models will look like in the near future with electric powertrain tech

Renault revealed the Trezor Sports Coupe Concept at the last edition of Geneva Motor Show right after debuting it in Paris the previous October. The French company claims that this concept signals a brand new start of a design language that could be incorporated in its future models. The awe-inspiring concept has made its way into 2018 Auto Expo to greet Indian spectators.

The Trezor can be said as an ambitious project giving a bold preview of the future. It accompanies the Zoe EV and Renault’s 2017 Formula One car. The Trezor Sports Coupe Concept is heavily inspired by the concept models of Mercedes-Benz as it has striking resemblance to the Gran Turismo Vision and Maybach 6.

Renault-Trezor-10.jpgThe concept has a stunning visual presence and comes fitted with a hi-tech carbonfibre chassis presumably inspired from its F1 operations. It boasts a sleek silhouette with LED headlamps, muscular tone all around the body and big set of wheels. It also features several tiny little hexagons on the car’s body which change form as they flow into the concept’s curves.

The Trezor comprises of full-width light bar at rear and a rear windscreen along with rear diffuser giving an aggressive stance. Another interesting design element is the fighter jet like large single-piece canopy relegating the need for doors. The Renault Trezor Sports Coupe Concept measures 4,700 mm long, 2,100 mm wide and has a height little over 1,080 mm. Inside the cabin, it is equally elegant with a stylish design theme.

The cabin is painted red with no A-pillar and the windshield flows uncluttered. Renault says the Z in the TreZor name refers to the car’s all-electric Z.E powertrain. It uses an all-electric powertrain which is good enough to produce 350 bhp of peak power with 380 Nm torque, and it can do zero to 100 kmph in less than 4 seconds.
