Across the country, Renault India currently has 320 dealerships and continuous expansion meant 50 outlets were set up just in 2017

Renault India has released a statement announcing that it has achieved its target of establishing 320 dealership facilities across the country last year. It has been a formidable feat considering only 14 outlets were available in total less than seven years ago. The French auto major has rapidly expanded its footprint in the Indian market by setting up dealership network across the length and breadth of the country.

From just 14 facilities in May 2011, Renault broadened its wings to 270 dealerships by the end of 2016. Last year, it further added 50 shops to reach a wide band of customers as its products target mass market buyers. Renault says all of its dealerships have been designed based on the ‘RENAULTSTORE’ concept. It has been conceptualized to meet the evolving demands of the consumers.

It is said to emphasise the core value of the brand along with its product portfolio, services and accessories in a modern and effective manner. As much as the brand reach and having a good lineup of cars, Renault says it understood the math behind the importance of after-sales support to endure a sustained growth.

It has introduced a number of initiatives including Renault SECURE, Renault ASSIST, Workshop on Wheels (WoW), customer apps and regular customer service camps to appease the owners and have a long-term relation with them. Of late, Renault brought forth the MY RENAULT APP which is a smartphone application covering all Renault models currently on sale.

Available in both Android and IOS platforms, it has also become the first app of such kind to feature an e-commerce facility. Renault claims it comprises of over 60 handy features including online service appointments, personalized reminders and digital vaults for document storage.

Renault’s significant launches since it entered India had to be the Kwid and Duster. It seems to be working on a subcompact SUV that will sit between the above models and it could be showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo next month in near-production form.
