Kawasaki officially introduced 2018 Ninja 300 at Rs. 2.98 lakh (Ex-Showroom) last week. Every one was surprised by the huge price drop of Ninja 300 compared to previous version and the Japanese manufacturer is also offering 3 years of unlimited mileage warranty, which makes Ninja 300 one of the most affordable performance two wheelers in the country.
But there is a catch, according to Bike Advice the company informed them that the price is introductory and it will be available only for pre-orders and unlimited mileage warranty is also a limited period offer for these bikes. The company hasn’t confirmed about number of units as they have not yet decided on it.
The new Ninja 300 undercut its main rival Yamaha R3 by almost 50,000 and it is cheaper compared to single cylinder BMW G310 twins. The Ninja 300 comes to India via CKD units from Thailand and depending on the success of Ninja 300, we can expect Kawasaki to locally assemble Versys X-300 and Ninja 400.
Kawasaki Ninja 300 is powered by 296 cc liquid cooled parallel-twin cylinder engine producing 39 bhp of power at 11,000 rpm and 27 Nm of torque at 10,000 rpm. This engine is mated to 6 speed gearbox. The Japanese manufacturer also offer dual channel ABS and slipper clutch as standard features of Ninja 300.
The design on Ninja 300 took inspirations from ZX-10R and ZX-14R. The full fairing along with dual headlamps gives a sporty look for Ninja 300 at front. Globally, Kawasaki discontinued Ninja 300 and replaced it with new Ninja 400 but for some market like India, the company is keeping both models on sale.
The braking power for Ninja 300 comes from 290 mm front disc and 220 mm rear disc. The company has given telescopic front suspension and mono suspension at rear, which are tuned towards sporty riding.
