Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and Super Meteor 650 have won prestigious awards at the 2024 Acer Faster Awards ceremony held in New Delhi
At the gala award ceremony held in Gurugram for the Acer FASTER Awards 2024, multiple awards were presented across 18 categories, celebrating excellence in various aspects of the automotive industry. Royal Enfield’s Himalayan 450 has won the prestigious Motorcycle of the Year award while the Super Meteor 650 bagged the honours for the Premium Bike of the Year.
The Jury round for the Acer FASTER Awards 2024 occurred in Gurugram on the 8th and 9th of February, 2024. A panel of highly experienced automotive journalists from electronic media publications, boasting a collective reach of over 250 million monthly users worldwide, meticulously evaluated and selected the winners.
The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 was introduced in January 2023 in India following its debut at the Rider Mania event. The flagship cruiser arrived with several first-for-RE features including a Google-powered turn-by-turn Tripper Navigation system as standard, an LED headlamp, and Showa-sourced 43 mm upside-down front forks.
With relaxed rider ergonomics, the Super Meteor 650 is designed to offer top-notch stability on highways and deliver intuitive ride quality, responding smoothly to steering inputs through corners. It comes with a host of mechanical updates compared to its 650 cc siblings and is equipped with the familiar 648 cc parallel-twin engine, producing around 47 PS and 52 Nm.
The Himalayan 450 is one of the best dual-purpose adventure touring machines money can buy right now in India and it made its debut late last year. It is built on a brand new platform and derives power from a new 451.65 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC fuel-injected four-valve engine, which is good enough to develop a maximum power output of 40.02 PS and 40 Nm of peak torque.
