The recently launched Yamaha MT-15 has received a tremendous response from the buyers after it was launched in the month of March here in India. However, in order to attract attention and offer a better value to the customers, Yamaha has introduced a new accessory campaign called “Express Your Dark Side”.
Yamaha has mentioned that the main idea behind the newly introduced campaign is to promote the MT riding culture alongside the sales of the motorcycle. Under this new promotional campaign, both the existing and the new customers is eligible to receive a brand new MT-branded jacket or a helmet absolutely free.
The riding jackets are available in four different sizes including M, L, XL, XXL and is available in black colour only while the MT-branded helmet is available in standard XL size only. There are a total of 10,000 units of the jackets and 3,000 units of the ISI certified helmets in stock and thus this offer will be available till the stock lasts.
For your information, the offer is valid from 27th May onwards. That said, the Yamaha MT-15 is the naked sportsbike based on the faired Yamaha YZF-R15-V3.0. The motorcycle borrows its styling cues from the global MT range and features an aggressive stance and muscular styling.
The motorcycle also gets a sharper looking twin headlamp and a short tail with vertically positioned taillamps towards the rear. The motorcycle is offered in two colour options – Dark Matte Blue and Metallic Black. It uses a conventional telescopic fork towards the front and a monoshock suspension setup towards the rear.
Unfortunately, it only gets a single channel ABS. The MT-15 shares the same 155 cc liquid cooled SOHC engine with Variable Valve Actuation System and slipper clutch with the R15 V3.0. This unit produces about 19 bhp of peak power and 14.7 Nm of peak torque and comes mated to the same 6-speed gearbox.
