Nissan India has announced the launch of the Magnite Kuro Edition in the domestic market and it carries a starting price tag of Rs. 8.27 lakh for petrol MT while the Kuro Edition equipped with a turbo petrol engine costs Rs. 9.65 lakh and the CVT-spec Magnite Kuro Edition is priced at Rs. 10.46 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition is based on the XV trim and it differentiates itself from the regular Magnite via cosmetic updates. Emphasising a dark theme, the special edition has been introduced to garner more customers during the ongoing festive season. The exterior comprises black finished elements that further elevate the overall road presence of the SUV.
The compact SUV gains black black-finished grille section with thick black trimmed borders while the skid plate, roof and door handles are also finished in black. The alloy wheels also have a black finish along with window trims and the contrast red brake callipers add to the sportiness. Other exterior highlights are slightly smoked-out headlamps and tail lamps.
The interior of the Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition comprises blackened inner door handles, a black multifunctional steering wheel and HVAC vents as well as the roof liner. The features list comes with an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connectivity options, a seven-inch digital instrument console, automatic climate control, a 360-degree camera system and so on.
With no mechanical changes, the Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition features a familiar 1.0L three-cylinder NA petrol engine developing around 72 hp and 96 Nm. The turbo version of the same engine kicks out 100 hp and 160 Nm. The special edition is available with a five-speed manual transmission in the NA petrol version while the turbo can be had with an MT or a CVT.
The AMT version of the Nissan Magnite will launch soon in India with an aggressive starting price of around Rs. 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom) as it could undercut the AMT versions of the Hyundai Exter and Tata Punch. Currently, the Magnite has a starting price of Rs. 5.99 lakh for the base variant (ex-showroom).
