Nissan is going to launch Kicks SUV in Indian in early 2019 and it will compete against Hyundai Creta and Renault Captur

Nissan Kicks SUV has been spotted in public road again and this time the interior has been spied, which is exactly similar to Brazilian spec model. The interior is finished in black colour on the test mule, but we can expect the production model to be offered with dual tone colour for the dashboard as an option.

The Kicks comes with ‘Gliding Wing’ design for the dashboard and the company has given three spoke flat bottom multi-function steering wheel with audio and other controls. The instrument cluster gets analog speedometer and a large MID screen, which display all other information for the driver.

The circular AC vents are carried over to India spec model and we can expect quality of materials to be par among with global models. Nissan will pack Kicks with lots of features like touch screen infotainment system, climate control, key less entry, push button start, leather seats, reverse parking camera with sensors and more.

We can expect Kicks to come with good interior space and the SUV will be offered with 200 mm of ground clearance. But the biggest difference is in platform as global model is based on new V platform and India spec model is based on B0 platform, which is already used in Duster, Captur and Terrano.

The design of India spec Kicks will be slightly different as the company has redesigned rear three quarters, but the front appears to be same with signature grille of Nissan along with projector headlamps and new bumper at front with LED fog lamps. The Kicks comes with black plastic cladding around the body for SUV look.

The top end model of Kicks come with alloy wheels, integrated spoiler at rear and the Japanese manufacturer might offer dual tone exterior colour options as it is popular among customers. Nissan Kicks in India will be powered by same engines from Terrano and Duster.

The 1.5 L diesel engine produces 110 PS of power and 240 Nm of torque, H4K 1.5 L petrol engine puts out 106 PS and 142 Nm. The petrol engine will be mated to 5 speed manual and diesel with 6 speed manual but company won’t offer all wheel drive system in India. Nissan Kicks will be launched in early 2019.
