Mid-spec Hyundai Grand i10 spotted sans alloy wheels, indicators on ORVMs and several interior features compared to the top-end model of Maruti Swift rival

The new-generation Hyundai Grand i10 will be launched in the country in October this year. Several prototypes have been caught testing on numerous occasions, thereby revealing various details of the new Maruti Swift rival. The latest spy pictures show the middle variant of the next-gen i10 and the test mule has slight differences compared to the top end model.

The Magna variant of the next-gen Hyundai Grand i10 comes with indicators placed on the fender instead of the mirrors. The company has also given steel wheels with plastic covers instead of machine-cut alloy wheels, while the pillar doesn’t get the black finish. The interior of the lower-spec version of the Maruti Swift rivalling model will be different as it misses out on several features.

The company has retained the overall sillhoutte of the current Hyundai Grand i10 but it gets new signature grille of the company along with swept-back headlamps and a new bumper with fog lamp inserts. The side design is more or less the same with new design machine cut alloy wheels making it to the top model. The rear gets new tail lamps and an updated bumper.

The dimensions of the next-gen Hyundai Grand i10 will be bigger than its predecessor, which will improve space inside the cabin. The interior will be completely different from the outgoing model as the AC vents get a similar design as the new Santro and we can expect the quality of materials to be better. The three-spoke steering wheel also gets a new design.

The centre console of the next-gen Hyundai Grand i10 gets floating-type touch screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Link. The instrument cluster will be new as it gets a similar layout like the Elite i20 with a MID screen in the middle, which provides lots of information. The speedometer is on the right and the tachometer on the left.

The next-gen Hyundai Grand i10 will be loaded with features like climate control, rear-AC vents, electronically adjustable outside rear view mirrors, rear camera with parking sensors and more. The new Maruti Swift rivalling model will be based on an updated version of the BA platform. It is expected to be powered by the same 1.2 L Kappa engine, which will be updated to meet BSVI norms with an option of manual and AMT gearbox options.
