The exterior modifications are new front fascia, signature grille, new LED DRLs and body-coloured bumper. The interior revisions present in the new range include washable seat fabric, all-black interior and dashboard with wooden look on premium models and so on.

Complying with the BS-IV emission standards, the new family comprises of heavy-duty haulage and construction trucks as well as tractors. Since August 2015, Bharat-Benz offers its 9 to 49 ton range of trucks in BS-IV variants in advance which was well before the norms came into effect from the beginning of April 2017.

The brand says more than 1,000 units of BS-IV based trucks have been delivered already and they clocked in excess of 42,00,000 km. Bharat-Benz has used a SCR technology based system which was a proven entity in Daimler’s commercial vehicles worldwide to achieve BS-IV compliance.

But over a million kilometers of testing had taken place before it appeared commercial to buy in India back in 2015 according to the manufacturer. It is said that for ‘double digit’ fuel improvement, the exhaust system is being treated completely for optimised working window alongside aerodynamic and auxiliary revisions.

Lower maintenance is facilitated by highly durable clutch and brake lining, longer oil change intervals, differential lock buzzer and weight reduction of the vehicle allowing for additional payload of up to 400 kilos. The strengthened safety tech include cruise control, LED accented lamp, tubeless tyres, fuel theft protection, AC, reverse camera and display in premium variant as well as dual chamber head lamp.
