We rendered the new generation Wagon R with 15-inch alloy wheels of Dzire along with dual tone colour and new graphics
Maruti Suzuki officially introduced the third generation Wagon R last month and the company has made so many improvements compared to the earlier model to make it better. Even though we were impressed with the new Wagon R, one thing we have pointed in our review was the smaller tyres, which the company offers.
The new Wagon R comes with two options for wheels as base variants come with 155/80 section R13 tyres and 165/70 section R14 tyres on the top-spec model. We have rendered the Wagon R with 15-inch wheels from Maruti Suzuki Dzire with low profile tyres and it gives a sporty look for the hatchback.
Maruti is not offering alloy wheels even on the top-end variant of Wagon R. The Dzire top-models come with 185/65 section R15 tyres with alloy wheels and if Wagon R get this wheel, then it will drastically improve the stability of the hatchback especially in highways and braking performance will be better with the wider tyre.
Apart from wheels, we have given dual tone body colour with black finish on the roof and new graphics also. Let’s hope that Maruti listens to the feedback and introduce a new variant or limited edition model later in the life cycle of Wagon R with alloy wheels and wider tyre. The initial response of the hatchback is really good and it is based on the advanced fifth-generation Heartect platform.
The Wagon R is the entry-level model of this new platform and it is positioned between Celerio and Ignis in the lineup. The exterior design theme of Wagon R is evolutionary and the black finish on the C-pillar gives a sporty look for the hatchback along with vertically placed tail lamps, which took inspiration from new Ertiga.
The interior is completely modern and the company has given lots of features like touch screen infotainment system, rear parking sensors, dual airbags, ABS with EBD and more. Maruti is offering the Wagon R with 1.0 L engine producing 67 PS and 90 Nm while the 1.2 L engine puts out 83 PS and 113 Nm, both come with manual and AMT gearbox options.
