2017 new maruti dzire review-23 (New Maruti Suzuki Dzire Sales)

Maruti Suzuki has officially announced that sales of new Dzire have crossed 3 lakh units and it took just 17 months to achieve this milestone

Maruti Suzuki launched the third generation Dzire in March 2017. The Dzire was already the best selling model in its segment and the introduction of the new model increased the sales gap to its competitors. The new generation of Dzire featured regularly in top 10 sales of each month and it was holding the best selling cars title in the country from Alto for some months too.

The company has now officially announced today that sales of new Dzire have crossed 3 lakh units and the compact sedan took just 17 months to achieve this milestone. The average monthly sales of Dzire is 18,000 units and more than 25 percent of buyers have opted for the top end variants, as it comes with all the bells and whistles.

The Dzire is available in diesel and petrol engine options as the 1.3 L diesel engine sourced from Fiat produces 74 hp of power and 190 Nm of torque. The 1.2 L K-Series engine puts out 81 hp and 113 Nm. Both these engines are mated to a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox. The company has also announced that more than 20 percent of buyers have chosen the AMT variant.

One of the main reasons for the huge success of Dzire is its frugal engines as the compact sedan with diesel engine configuration returns 28.4 kmpl and 22 kmpl with petrol. The Dzire is based on the new Heartect platform and it helps the new model to be lighter than its predecessor. The compact sedan measures 3,995 mm length, 1,735 mm width and 1,515 mm height.

Maruti has loaded the Dzire with lots of features like touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, climate control, keyless entry, push-button start, alloy wheels, projector headlamps, LED DRLs, rear AC vents, electronically controlled outside mirrors, rear camera with parking sensors and more.
