Mahindra & Mahindra is the only mainstream automobile manufacturer in the country to sell electric four-wheelers as the e-Verito and e2O Plus underline the brand’s commitment to eco-friendly mobility. However, both the models do not endure substantial sales because of many factors including costs, unconventionality, and lack of awareness among customers and so on.
The Mumbai-based manufacturer is not backing down though as a slew of new zero-emission vehicles are waiting to be unveiled in the pipeline in the near future. Just like every other auto major, Mahindra is wary of the fact that the future is electric and having the first-mover advantage would help in establishing the brand name.
