Using the name tag of Iron Man and Captain America, Honda is all set to increase revenue by debuting ADV 160 Marvel Edition
Having seen the success of the competitor TVS which launched the NTORQ 125 Super Squad Edition in India leveraging names like Spiderman, Thor, Iron Man and Captain America, Honda is also realising to take the same roadmap and gain market share by launching scooters with Iron Man and Captain America Editions. Honda has done a similar launch in Thailand as the Iron Man and Captain America Editions have sold around 3,000 units so far.
Honda ADV 160 Design
Honda has included ADV elements into this scooter to create something distinctive. Having larger wheels, upright seating and block pattern tyres and the inclusion of Marvel character-inspired liveries makes it an attractive buy to scooter lovers especially the youth who are already fascinated by these Marvel characters.
Iron Man Edition
The front fascia is represented by the inclusion of Iron Man nuclear core design which was introduced in the second instalment of the trilogy. The body is wrapped in a red base coat with gold colour accents while the side profile appeals to look like Iron Man’s face.
Captain America Edition
Captain America Edition comes with a blue base coat with red and white elements on the scooter to make it resemble the Captain America supersoldier who fought the Axis powers of World War II and was Timely Comics’ most popular character during the wartime period. The Honda logo is replaced by a star which is a symbol of Captain America’s shield. Captain America’s shield livery is also designed in the side panels.
Honda ADV 160 Marvel Edition – Updates?
There is no change in terms of engine parameters and Honda is offering the same 157 cc single-cylinder 4V engine capable of generating 16 bhp of power and 14.7 Nm of torque. The large and transparent windshield at the front makes it easier to ride the ADV 160 scooter at high speeds and includes a unique look to it. Also, the front disc has been offered with a 240mm front rotor and the rear one is coming with a 220mm rear rotor.
