Hyundai Elite i20 now comes with segment first wireless charging and the CVT gearbox is now offered in the top-end variant also
Hyundai Elite i20 is the best selling model of the company in 2018 and they want to continue the positive momentum this year also. According to a new report, the company has revised the variant lineup of Elite i20 and added some segment new features to make the hatchback even more attractive to customers.
Earlier the Elite i20 was available in five variants – Era, Magna, Sportz, Asta and Asta (O). As part of the 2019 MY update, Hyundai revised the variants and now the Elite i20 is available in four variants – Era, Magna+, Sportz+ and Asta (O). The Elite i20 now comes with Eco Coating and rear parking sensors as standard.
The Magna+ comes with new features like day time running LEDs, fog lamps, front map lamps, Bluetooth connectivity, steering mounted audio control, voice recognition and chrome finished front grille. The Sportz+ variant gets 15-inch gunmetal alloy wheels with single-tone variant and 16-inch wheels with the dual-tone option.
The company has also given Arkamys AVN system with smartphone connectivity, sliding front armrest, tilt and telescopic multi-function steering wheel and rear parking camera with sensors. The company also offer a black finish for the exterior mirrors but it is only available with dual-tone exterior colour option.
The Elite i20 comes with segment first wireless charging and it is available on both Sportz+ and Asta (O) variants. Apart from this additional feature, the top-end model doesn’t get any feature changes. Finally, the company has listened to customers and the automatic option is now available in both Sportz+ and Asta (O).
Earlier CVT gearbox was only offered with Magna Executive and Asta variants, which misses out several features compared to the top-end model. The Elite i20 is powered by the same 1.2 L Kappa series engine with optional of manual and CVT gearbox while the 1.4 L diesel engine comes with a 6-speed gearbox only. Hyundai is yet to reveal the price of the updated model.
