Michelin high performance bicycle tyres launched in India, The French tyre maker has an experience of 127 years in the sector
France based tyre maker Michelin entering the high performance bicycle tyre market in India with their range of premium products. Initially, the company has introduced their premium road range, mountain bike range and city trekking range in Indian market.
These ranges consist of products for every kind of cyclists be it the daily users or the adventure seekers. The road range tyres include PRO4 Service Course, PRO4 Endurance, PRO4 Comp Service Course, Lithion 2 and Dynamic Sport. The mountain bike range consists of Wild Grip’R and Wild Rock’r tyres. While for city trekking buyers can choose from Protek Maxis and Protek Cross tyres.
In the road range, the PRO4 Service Course offers perfect balance and longevity. The PRO4 Endurance offers long lasting lifespan with high performance and protection against cuts and scratches. On wet roads it gives unrivaled grip. The Lithion 2 offers durability and better performance; it comes with four overlapping for extra protection. The Dynamic Sport offers longer tread life and better performance.
In the mountain bike range the Wild Grip’R comes with excellent balance, grip and performance capability. The Wild Rock’r tyres in the same segment are built to perform in extreme terrains with efficiency. In the city trekking the Protek Maxis comes with maximum protection, and these tyres come with easy movability on both asphalt and trails. These tyres come with multipurpose usage capability. The other one in the segment Protek Cross is an all trail tyre which can be used on every terrain and in all kind of weathers with ease.
The price range for the tyres and tubes will be between Rs. 690 to Rs. 2699 with taxes to be included. The French company already has a manufacturing plant in Chennai, which produces radial truck and bus tyres. Moreover the company sells tyres for passenger cars, truck, bus, two wheels and off roading vehicles as well.
The reason behind launching the high performance bicycle tyres in Indian market is the significant growth in the premium bicycle market in the country in recent past. The company believes it have a growth potential between 25% – 30% annually. Michelin was founded in 1889 in France and the brand is famous for their high quality products.
