Maruti upgrading regular dealerships with a completely new premium design and has separate sections for different accessories
Since the establishment of Nexa showrooms with the S-Cross, Maruti Suzuki’s strategy in India has seen dramatic changes. Although the initial performance of the crossover did not go well, the launch of the Baleno enabled more customer footfalls as the premium hatchback quickly rose to fame. Maruti upped its ante and grew the Nexa offering to three with the introduction of the Ignis urban compact hatchback.
From the starting of this financial year, the Ciaz sedan has been greeting Nexa chain of premium network as the flagship model. Between the launches of Baleno and Ignis, the arrival of Vitara Brezza went on to set new standards for the regular Maruti outlets. Amidst being made available alongside the entry-level small hatchbacks, the Brezza features plenty of premium equipment.
It pointed the finger at Maruti targeting a bit of upscale consumers with its compact offerings as well. The recently launched new-gen Dzire stood in testament to that as the top-end diesel automatic is priced at Rs. 9.4 lakh (ex-showroom) which was a far cry compared to the outgoing model. The compact sedan is based on a new lighter platform with more fuel efficient engines and upgraded equipment list.
As the premium nature of each product grows, Maruti Suzuki had to respond with the changes by making the ambience plusher. In an exclusive report, we can reveal that the manufacturer is doing just that by upping the standards of its regular sales outlets. We all know that the footprint of Nexa is getting stronger but the usual dealerships are equally getting upgraded as well.
The elegant lounge or customer waiting area, a separate portion for the safety gadgets and lifestyle products, space for interior material choices, wooden finishes and much more themed in unison indicate at the new direction Maruti Suzuki is heading towards in terms of approaching the customers and making their product sell.
