We were the first ones to tell you about the launch date of the Maruti Suzuki all-new WagonR in the Indian market. The first official picture of the all-new WagonR has been revealed by Maruti Suzuki and it looks quite premium.

The manufacturer has revealed the rear three-quarter of the upcoming hatchback. It gets an all-new tall tail lamp set-up that gives it a very premium touch. The all-new WagonR for the Indian market is quite different from the model available in the Japanese market. The latest official picture also reveals the floating-roof design of the upcoming WagonR.

Maruti has blacked-out the B-Pillar of the all-new WagonR and has used a black insert in the C-Pillar of the hatchback. The black insert reduces the pillar’s thickness and also gives a unique floating-roof effect to the hatchback. The picture also reveals the flowing body line of the vehicle. Just like the current version, the upcoming WagonR retains the boxy tall boy design.

Earlier, we exclusively revealed the exterior pictures of the WagonR, which shows the unique shape of the headlamps of the all-new WagonR. Even the brochure of the upcoming WagonR has been leaked online and it is expected to get three trim options – LXi, VXi and top-end ZXi.

The 1.0-litre engine will be available with the base LXi and the mid-version VXi variants while the 1.2-litre engine will be offered with the VXi and the ZXi trims. Maruti Suzuki will offer the 5-speed manual transmission as standard but there will be an AMT automatic transmission too.

The AMT will be available with the new 1.2-litre engine of the upcoming hatchback as well. The all-new WagonR will also feature ABS and EBD as standard alongside the driver-side airbag.
