Ten Things You Need to Know about Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, to Debut at Auto Expo Maruti Suzuki revealed the teaser sketch of the Vitara Brezza's side profile earlier before the Audi A3-alike front fascia appeared on its website this past Sunday. The compact SUV will be positioned between the Ertiga family runaround and the S-Cross premium crossover. With the 2016 Auto Expo fast-approaching, here we have compiled a list containing ten essential things you need to know about the highly-promising Vitara Brezza SUV: 1. Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is the first-ever fully home-grown vehicle from India's biggest auto manufacturer. It has been conceptualised and engineered at the local base as well as developed by an Indian squad spearheaded by Chief Engineer Mr. CV Raman. 2. The first indigenous product in the brand's over three-decade-old history has had only rust endurance and wind tunnel testing conducted at Suzuki's global engineering facility in Japan. It will be launched on 3rd February at the 2016 Auto Expo only with a four-cylinder 1,248cc diesel SHVS hybrid engine producing 89 bhp maximum power at 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm of peak torque at 1,750 rpm mated to a five-speed manual transmission. 3. As often been the case with Maruti Suzuki, the Vitara Brezza is more likely to be positioned aggressively in the Indian market with the expected price between Rs. 6.89 lakh and Rs. 9.98 Lakh for SHVS diesel hybrid engine. 4. The 1.3-litre SHVS diesel hybrid engine delivers a rated mileage of 28.09 kmpl on Ciaz and 24.52 kmpl on the Ertiga compact MUV. The Vitar Brezza could deliver a fuel efficiency of around 25.9 kmpl and since both the aforementioned models have been exempted by odd-even scheme, the Vitara Brezza will hit the much-needed sweet spot for the Delhi-NCR customers. 5. Maruti Suzuki is expected to sell 9,000-12,000 units of Vitara Brezza monthly and therefore the deliveries will commence from the standard dealerships rather than initially speculated Nexa premium outlets. 6. With such huge sales expectations, the possibilities of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza becoming the number one selling SUV in the country from April 2016 are very high. 7. The vehicle was carefully crafted by Suzuki's standards with Indian customers in mind and will rival against the likes of the compact SUV segment-topping Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster, Mahindra TUV300, Ford EcoSport and the likes. 8.
