Maruti Suzuki ‘ROCK N’ ROAD 4X4 Masters’ Concludes In Goa

Maruti Suzuki ROCK N’ ROAD 4X4 Masters drew participation from over 200 enthusiasts across eight cities in India

Maruti Suzuki has announced the successful completion of the inaugural season of the ‘ROCK N’ ROAD 4X4 Masters’ championship in India. The off-roading event, designed specifically for enthusiastic off-roaders who own the Jimny, reached its climax in Goa, where Mr. Mihir Dharkar from Mumbai was crowned as the champion.

Mr. Shantanu Grover from Delhi and Mr. Gurmeet Virdi from Chandigarh finished on the podium in second and third places respectively. As part of their rewards, the winner and the first runner-up of the championship earned a unique chance to witness the prestigious Rainforest Challenge in Malaysia, recognised as one of the toughest off-road championships in the world.

The inaugural season of the ‘ROCK N’ ROAD 4X4 Masters’ championship, launched in January 2024, captivated off-roading enthusiasts nationwide. Tailored to offer JIMNY owners a platform to showcase their off-roading prowess, the championship drew participation from over 200 enthusiasts across 8 cities: Delhi, Chandigarh, Shillong, Hyderabad, Vagamon, Bengaluru, Mumbai/Pune, and Goa.

The diverse participation, encompassing both professional off-roaders and amateurs, offered a platform for everyone to learn and progress while keeping the excitement levels high. The championship was divided into two phases: qualifiers held across 8 cities, followed by a grand finale in Goa.

The championship allowed Jimny owners to test their skills across a multitude of challenges such as ascents, descents and undulations across varying off-road terrain demonstrating the capabilities of the five-door lifestyle 4X4 machine. The top two participants from each of the 8 cities advanced to the finale, where they demonstrated their skills on a meticulously designed track, fully unleashing the potential of their Jimny SUVs.
