Except for new generation Ertiga, Maruti Suzuki offers discounts on all models across its range in India this month
Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) had another shocking month as it registered 25.1 per cent sales decline in May 2019. With 1,21,018 units, the largest car producer in the country managed to sell just over 40,000 units less than what it did in the same month last year. The negative market sentiments combined with external factors have wreaked havoc on the sales of all the car companies since the beginning of this financial year.
Just as others, the Indo-Japanese manufacturer has come up with a wide range of discounts across its domestic lineup applicable for this month. The recently launched BSVI engine equipped updated Alto 800 and the regular K10 with manual transmission get Rs. 18,000 cash and Rs. 20,000 exchange bonus.
The AMT version of Alto K10 and the Celerio range come with Rs. 23,000 cash discount and Rs. 20,000 exchange bonus. The Eeco has big shoes to fill since the axing of Omni due to stringent safety and crash test standards and in May 2019 the minivan is sold with Rs. 8,000 discount on CNG and Rs. 3,000 on petrol along with Rs. 10,000 exchange bonus.

The new generation Wagon R launched in January 2019 gains Rs. 15,000 exchange bonus while all variants of the Swift barring LXi have Rs. 13,000 cash discount and Rs. 20,000 exchange bonus. The base LXi variant of the Swift is offered with the same level of discounts as the Dzire range, as Rs. 18,000 cash discount and Rs. 20,000 exchange bonus is made available.
The second generation Ertiga introduced in November 2018 is not provided with any discounts this month. The best-selling SUV in India Vitara Brezza, on the other hand, gets Rs. 18,000 cash discount and Rs. 20,000 exchange bonus. Over to Nexa, the Baleno that has achieved six lakh sales milestone is offered with Rs. 15,000 exchange bonus.
The mildly updated Ignis launched earlier this year comes with Rs. 20,000 cash and Rs. 25,000 exchange bonus. The S-Cross is sold with Rs. 20,000 cash discount and Rs. 35,000 exchange bonus while different variants of the Ciaz is retailed with discounts ranging between Rs. 35,000 and Rs. 50,000.
