Maruti Suzuki is now gearing up to launch the re-badged version of the new Toyota Innova Hycross MPV in the Indian market. This new MPV will not only share its underpinnings with the Innova Hycross but is also expected to be offered with the same powertrain options for the buyers. Having said this, the new Maruti C-MPV is likely to make its debut in late 2023 or early 2024 and here are all the details you need to know about it.

From what we know so far, the Maruti MPV will be sold via the NEXA dealership network and will be positioned as the flagship model in the brand’s line-up. It will be the third 7-seater MPV in Maruti’s portfolio after the Ertiga and the XL6 and is likely to be the first Maruti car to be offered with ADAS safety suite.

Once launched, it will directly challenge the cars like the Innova, MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV700 and others in India. This new MPV will be based on the TNGA-C platform, this new MPV will be offered with two engine options – 2.0L NA petrol and 2.0L strong-hybrid engine.

Inside, the MPV will boast features like a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera and a digital driver’s display. In addition to the ADAS safety tech, it is also likely to be offered with vehicle stability control, six airbags and front and rear parking sensors.

While the brand is yet to comment on the official launch timeline of the MPV, we are expecting it to price this new MPV at a starting price of Rs 18-20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). More details including the variant options on offer are yet to be known.
