Mahindra is going to launch the much-awaited XUV 300 based on SsangYong Tivoli in December 2018 and it comes with several first-in-segment features

Mahindra is on a roll in the second half of 2018 as they have already launched new Marazzo MPV and the XUV700 based on G4 Rexton will reach the market next month. But another important launch for M&M in 2018 will be the XUV 300 compact SUV.

Mahindra has already launched three products in compact SUV segment and most of them are selling in average numbers only. According to a new report, the company is going to introduce XUV 300 in December and it is based on the SsangYong Tivoli platform. The S201 test mule has been spotted on road multiple times.

The compact SUV comes with several segments first features like dual-zone climate control, sunroof along with touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto push button start, automatic headlamp, rain sensing wipers, reverse camera with parking sensors, cruise control and more.

The exterior design theme gives a modern and young feel for the compact SUV and the rear get full LED tail lamps along with integrated spoiler and new bumper to make it more attractive.

We can expect the compact SUV to ride on 16-inch wheels and the company has given black plastic cladding running across the body for SUV look. The interior design took inspirations from Tivoli and material quality will be par among with competitors. The XUV 300 might offer good cabin space.

Mahindra has given importance for safety and the XUV 300 get disc brakes on all four wheels, seven airbags, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, Speed Warning and more. The XUV 300 will be powered by the same 1.5 L diesel engine from Marazzo with 123 PS and 300 Nm, mated to 6-speed manual and AMT transmission. The compact SUV will compete against Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Ford EcoSport.
