Mahindra has crossed the 1 lakh volume sales milestone as the INGLO-based electric range comprising XEV 9e, BE 6 and XEV 9S has been well received by consumers. The milestone comes less than two years after the XEV 9e and BE 6 debuted on November 26, 2024. Customer deliveries of the first two models began on March 20, 2025 while the XEV 9S joined them in the first month of this calendar year.
The first major sales indication came when the XEV 9e and BE 6 secured 30,179 bookings on their opening day. Mahindra then delivered more than 3,000 units by April last year. By November, more than 30,000 units of the XEV 9e and BE 6 had reached customers. To consolidate the range, the XEV 9S debuted in the same month with customer deliveries commencing on January 23, 2026.
The XEV 9S adds a three-row layout and a third battery choice. Its 59 kWh version kicks out 228 hp, the 70 kWh version does 241 hp and the 79 kWh derivative reaches 282 hp while torque is rated at 380 Nm. The 79 kWh battery supports up to 180 kW DC charging and a 20 to 80 per cent charge takes around 20 minutes. The equipment list composes triple screens, Level 2+ ADAS, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon system with Dolby Atmos and a flat floor as its siblings.
The three SUVs share Mahindra’s INGLO skateboard architecture and MAIA electronics platform. Other highlights are iLink front suspension, a five-link independent rear layout, variable-ratio electric steering, multiple drive modes, multi-step regeneration and single-pedal driving. They also offer lifetime battery warranty for the first private owner on eligible 59 kWh and 79 kWh versions with separate warranty terms after an ownership change.
