Mahindra is preparing for another major expansion of its SUV portfolio, with several new products expected to arrive in India over the next year. The line-up will span very different segments, from the Scorpio Lifestyler pickup to the electric BE.07, while the new NU_IQ architecture will bring a fresh generation of Mahindra SUVs. Here is what to expect.
The Scorpio Lifestyler will be Mahindra’s new lifestyle pickup, based on the Global Pik Up concept first shown in 2023. It uses a new body-on-frame architecture and has been developed in India for global markets. Mahindra says it combines payload capability with everyday usability and adventure-focused design. The India launch is confirmed by April 2027, with prices starting below Rs 19.79 lakh, ex-showroom.

The Vision S will be one of the first production SUVs based on Mahindra’s new NU_IQ multi-energy platform. The concept previews a compact SUV with a sub-four-metre footprint and a claimed 2,665 mm wheelbase, which could translate into a spacious cabin. The platform supports petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric powertrains, as well as FWD and AWD layouts, although the final engine options for production are yet to be confirmed. It is expected to arrive in 2027.
The BE.07 will be Mahindra’s next major electric SUV and will sit above the BE 6. The production version is expected to measure around 4.6 metres and use the INGLO born-electric architecture. Reports indicate battery capacities in the 60 to 80 kWh range, while its positioning will put it against models such as the Tata Harrier EV and VinFast VF7. Mahindra has confirmed the BE.07 for 2027.

The fourth product is slightly different because Mahindra has not officially confirmed that it will be called the new-generation XUV 3XO. However, the production version of the Vision X concept is widely expected to occupy the same compact SUV space and could eventually replace the current 3XO. It will use the NU_IQ platform, which supports multiple powertrains, including petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric configurations. Production of the NU_IQ-based SUVs is scheduled to begin in 2027.
