Mahindra S105 SUV will be based on the KUV100 platform and will rival Hyundai Creta and Honda BR-V

Mahindra is all set to complete its entire range of vehicles when it comes to dominating the SUV space. The utility vehicle maker is known for making SUVs in all shapes and sizes. It recently launched the KUV 100 in such a size that it will take on the likes of the Maruti Wagon R. As we can see there is no stopping Mahindra from doing so, the company launched the TUV 300 in the compact segment of sub four meter and went against the likes of the Ecosport.

However, M & M still has a wide gap between TUV 300 and Scorpio. The brand wants to fill it up with a new vehicle which is codenamed S105. Based on the S101, which turned out to be the KUV 100, this new vehicle will rival against the likes of the newly launched Creta, Duster, Terrano and even BR-V to an extent.

Mahindra S105 is going to be the entry level product in this segment and will not be a premium most likely. For that, Mahindra has the Tivoli that will have bigger engines and more features in it to lure premium buyers and attract audiences that love international products such as Hyundai, Renault etc. This is what we think will happen if the Tivoli and S105 will co-exist.

As of now, mechanically, we can say for sure that this is the monocoque SUV based on the KUV 100 and elongated with different styling, 1.5 petrol and diesel engines with manual and AT gearboxes will make it to the engine bay of the S105. Interior, which Mahindra is doing pretty well nowadays will see this new SUV have will be even better and more luxurious. Launch happens in the year 2017 and should start from 8 lakhs and end around 12 lakhs.
