
Mahindra sold a total of 42,401 units in the month of February 2024; The Scorpio stood at the top spot followed by the Bolero
Mahindra & Mahindra is one of the leading manufacturers in the SUV segment. It’s latest line-up starting from Thar, XUV700 to the latest Scorpio N have been a huge success with waiting period going through the roof. In the month of February 2024, the Indian SUV manufacturer sold a total of 42,401 units, thereby acquiring the fourth spot in the overall domestic sales tally.
This is a big jump from the previous year’s figures of 30,221 units, registering a staggering YOY growth of 40%. The MOM analysis reveals a 2% decline as the company sold 43,068 units in January 2024. Talking about the model-wise sales, the Scorpio (Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic) continues to be the Indian carmaker’s top performer with 15,051 units in the bag, registering a staggering 117% YOY growth (6,950 units in February 2023).
Taking the second spot is the Bolero (including Bolero Neo) with the sales bar standing at 10,113 units, a 3% jump from the previous year. The MOM growth of the Bolero sales is a marginal 1%.

Trailing behind these high-volume pullers are the XUV700 and Thar with 6,546 and 5,812 units, respectively. Both the popular SUVs registered a YOY sales growth of 45% and 16%, respectively. The soon to be updated XUV300’s figures are also quite encouraging with the sales count standing at 4,218 units. The YOY boost of the Mahindra’s compact SUV is 11%.
However, it lost in the MOM front by 12%. The only electric car in the brand’s line-up, the XUV400 EV which was recently updated with Pro Range model posted a sales of 621 units, 12% decline in the MOM figures. Last but not least, the Marazzo registered sales of mere 51 units. The MPV’s sales numbers were at 171 units in February 2023, thereby a 70% YOY decline is observed here.
To conclude, the Scorpio and XUV700 are the top gainers in YOY analysis while the Marazzo’s sales declined the most. Every model except Scorpio, Bolero and Marazzo experienced a nominal MOM decline in February 2024.
